Your credit card details are not stored or processed by us directly but through our third party payment provider Stripe. If you have an instructor account, you also need to provide us with a valid payment account to receive payment from us for the sale of your content.
  • Tax Data: If you have an instructor account and receive payments from us, you must provide us with appropriate tax information (e.g. by filling out and providing a W-9 or W-8BEN as appropriate)
  • Usage Data: We collect the following data generated by your use of our website:
    • Products you have viewed: we use this, for example, to show you products you have recently viewed.
    • Location, IP address and browser type: we use this for purposes like estimating taxes
    • We also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you are browsing our website.
  • Analytic Data: After obtaining your consent, via our Cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to collect and analyze usage patterns on our website. In addition, if you have an instructor account, we may need to share strictly necessary information with your chosen payment provider.
  • With Google to allow secure sign in: We allow the option of signing in to our website using your Google account (Sign in with Google). This requires the use of Google Identity Services. As part of this use, limited scripts, styles, and font from Google servers have to be loaded while you visit our website. There is no option to self-host these limited scripts, styles and font. This requires making standard HTTP requests to Google servers which necessarily shares some data with those servers including your IP address, your browser, operating system and the referrer (i.e. this website).   • With our cloud storage provider(s): if you have an instructor account and create content using our website, the data you upload is stored with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This data may include personal information if you include any such information in your content (for instance, if you make a presentation and include your name as the author on the first slide, this information is going to be saved on AWS).   • With Google Cloud and Firestore: we employ Google Cloudrun to convert PPTX files to PDF format and utilize Google Firestore to power some of our basic live conferencing capabilities.   • With Livekit.io: Our website utilizes LiveKit.io to provide our premium real-time live conferencing capabilities. LiveKit.io may collect and process certain personal data, including audio and video streams, for the purpose of delivering and improving the live conferencing services.   • With our Content Delivery Network: we use Cloudflare as our Content Delivery Network (CDN) to enhance the performance and security of our website. Cloudflare helps us deliver content quickly and reliably by caching and distributing it across a global network of servers. When we processes your order, we may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

We will retain your personal information with us for as long as required by law and for valid reasons (such as tax purposes, legal compliance, accounting/reporting requirements) or for as long as we need it to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected as detailed in this Privacy Policy. We may need to retain certain information for longer periods such as for record-keeping/reporting in accordance with applicable law or for other legitimate reasons like enforcement of legal rights, fraud prevention, etc. Residual anonymous information and aggregate information, neither of which identifies you (directly or indirectly), may be stored indefinitely.
